Other than its bigger battery, faster charging speed, higher RAM, and spacious storage, the Infinix Smart 10 Plus (6725B) is essentially the same phone as the standard Infinix Smart 10 (X6725).
And when compared to other similarly priced budget phones, the Smart 10 Plus set itself with its premium appearance and huge battery.
It's important not to confuse the Infinix Smart 10 Plus with the Infinix Smart 10 HD. The Smart 10 HD is the cheapest of all the Smart 10 series; therefore, it is equipped with fewer features and lower processing power than both the standard Smart 10 and the Smart 10 Plus.
Price And Design Colours.
The Infinix Smart 10 Plus is available in various colour options of Sleek Black, Titanium Silver, Iris Blue, and Rubby Red. Currently, the phone's starting price is about 123,000 Naira.
Design: Premium Appearance.
Aesthetically, the Smart 10 Plus is very similar to the regular Smart 10, featuring the same 6.67-inch display and a flat-sided design. The main distinction, however, is the camera layout. The standard model has a vertical camera bump, whereas the Smart 10 Plus features a horizontal one—a design choice that calls to mind Google's Pixel smartphones.
The Infinix Smart 10 Plus looks more premium than most phones in its class. For instance, in addition to its flat sides and flat rear panel, the phone's screen bezels are also noticeably slim. In spite of its huge battery, the Smart 10 Plus is flat, compact, and considerably light. Yet, there's no compromise on its build quality. The phone comes with IP64 (dust-tight and water splash-resistant) certification like its regular counterpart and more expensive budget phones. And it can also survive drops from heights of up to 1.5 metres.
Meanwhile, the port and button arrangement on the Smart 10 Plus is standard, identical to that of the regular Smart 10.
At the bottom of the device, you'll find a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, a microphone, and one of the stereo speakers. The second speaker is located on the top. On the right side of the phone are the volume keys and the power button, which also serves as a fingerprint reader. The 3-in-1 dual 4G nano-SIM tray is on the left.
Same Familiar Display:
The Smart 10 Plus not only has the same screen size as the regular Smart 10 but also shares the same specifications. It's worth noting that the pricier Infinix Hot 60i also has the same screen size and attributes.
Speaking of its attributes, the 6.67-inch screen of the Smart 10 Plus is an IPS-LCD with a 720p resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels. The maximum refresh rate supported is 120Hz.
While the display sharpness of the Smart 10 Plus may not impress you—a common characteristic of most budget phones with a 720p resolution—it is more than adequate for movie playback and social media content. Colours also look decent and moderately vibrant.
With a decent peak brightness of around 700 nits, the display looks vibrant in most lighting. However, it struggles with visibility in direct sunlight, a common issue for phones in this price range.
Same Basic Camera:
The Infinix Smart 10 Plus has the same basic camera setup as the regular Smart 10, featuring an 8MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Consequently, the photos from both phones are virtually identical.
As expected, the 8MP rear camera on the Infinix Smart 10 Plus doesn't produce highly detailed or impressive photos. However, the shots are decent and usable, as long as you have good lighting.
For those who prioritise camera quality in a budget phone at this price point, i recommend the Redmi A5. The Redmi phone's 32MP rear camera produces photos that are noticeably more detailed and clearer than those from the Smart 10 Plus.
By the way, with both its front and rear cameras, the Infinix Smart 10 Plus can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps (frames per second).
Same Software, Same CPU, But Increased RAM & Storage:
Though, as mentioned earlier, the Infinix Smart 10 Plus features more RAM and higher storage options than the regular Smart 10, however, the two models are equipped with the same CPU and software.
Out of the box, the Infinix Smart 10 Plus boots the latest Android 15 (Go Edition) OS with the Infinix XOS 15.1 custom UI on top. However, it is unlikely the Smart 10 Plus will receive major software updates. While this is typical for most budget phones—including the pricier Hot 60i—the Redmi A5 is an exception, as it promises up to two years of major OS updates.
Due to the shared low-end CPU, the Infinix Smart 10 Plus offers the same basic AI features as the Smart 10. And these are DeepSeek R1-powered Folax (the Infinix Voice Assistant), Document Assistant, and Writing Assistant.
Regarding RAM and storage, while the regular Smart 10 mostly available in 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, the Smart 10 Plus doubles the storage to 128GB and upgrades the RAM to 4GB. The storage can be further expanded up to 2TB (two terabytes) using a microSD card.
The Infinix Smart 10 Plus features the same Unisoc T7250 CPU as the regular Smart 10. The T7250 is a 12nm entry-level processor with clock speeds of up to 1.8GHz. For its GPU (Graphics Processing Unit), the processor utilises the Mali-G57 MP1.
Although the performance of the Smart 10 Plus is similar to that of the regular Smart 10 due to the same CPU, the increase in RAM helps the Plus model to offer a slightly smoother user experience than the regular model.
Nonetheless, the Smart 10 Plus is best suited for regular tasks such as internet browsing, social media consumption, and casual gaming. Although the phone was able to run some popular titles at low frame rates and low graphics settings, the phone is essentially not meant for heavy and demanding tasks like gaming.
Bigger Battery And Faster Charging:
Although the regular Smart 10's 5,200mAh battery and 15W fast charging are quite good for an entry-level budget phone, the Smart 10 Plus still packs a bigger 6,000mAh battery and supports a faster 18W charging.
The Smart 10 Plus is the only device at this price point that combines this feature (bigger battery and faster charging) with all the other essential and up-to-date specifications.
With the 18W charger that comes in the box, you can expect the battery to go from empty to full in about two and half hours.
