Although, the Infinix Smart 10 (X6725has better build quality, increased charging speed, and boots the latest Android OS out of the box compared to the Infinix Smart 9, there's no other significant difference between the phone and the earlier model. In fact, the latest phone comes with a downgraded rear camera and lacks the dedicated LED flashlight (Or torchlight) that's placed inside the camera bump of the earlier phone. Also, to me, the CPU that powered the Infinix Smart 10 is more of a downgrade, compared to the one inside the earlier device, though their processing powers are similar.

Except for those ones, the rest of the Smart 10 features remain as those of the Smart 9. For instance, the phone retain stereo speakers, RAM and storage configurations of the earlier device. Also despite its increased charging speed, the Infinix Smart 10 features the same battery capacity as the earlier one.
Meanwhile, when compared to other similarly priced budget phones, what sets the Smart 10 apart are its stereo speakers; otherwise, all other features of the phone similar to those of the few contenders. By the way, another notable contenders are the Xiaomi Redmi A5 and Itel City 100.

Price And Design Colours.
The Infinix Smart 10 is available in various colour options of Sleek Black, Titanium Silver, Iris Blue, and Twilight Gold. Currently, the phone's starting price is about 106,000 Naira.

Though Familiar Design, But Improve Build Quality & Redesign Camera Module:
Although, the Infinix Smart 10 has a screen size of 6.67-inch, it is approximately the same as the 6.7-inch display of the Infinix Smart 9. The display also has a hole-punch camera and features the same 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone also preserves the flat sides and flat rear panel of its predecessor.
However, the big square-shaped camera bump on the back of the earlier device has been replaced with two vertically stacked camera modules.
In addition to its unique camera modules, the Infinix Smart 10 also has better build quality. For instance, while the earlier phone is IP52 (dust and water resistance) certified, the latest phone is IP64 (dust-tight and water resistance) certified.

Nonetheless, except for the improved build quality, redesign camera module, and lack of a dedicated Flashlight, every other physical attribute of the Smart 10 remains exactly like those of the Smart 9.
In detail, you have a 3.5mm audio jack, a USB Type-C port, a microphone, and one of the stereo speakers on the bottom of the Smart 10. On the top side is the second speaker. As usual, you have the volume keys and power button (which also doubles as a fingerprint reader) on the right side of the phone, while its 3-in-1 dual 4G nano-SIM tray is located on the left side.

Similar Display Attributes, But Slightly Increased Brightness:
In this aspect too, nothing has changed much. Not only is the display of the Smart 10 approximately the same as that of the Smart 9, but it also features the same 720p resolution of 1600 by 720 pixels. So, the level of sharpness and clarity remain the same. The maximum refresh rate is also 120hz.
However, when it comes to peak brightness, the Smart 10's display does a slightly better job than that of its predecessor. This is because while the peak brightness of the Smart 9's display is around 500nits, the one on the Smart 10 can go up to 700nits. Indeed, the display appears a little brighter and more vibrant than that of the earlier model. Nonetheless, just as it is with other low-end budget phones, the Infinix Smart 10's display is not easily viewable under direct sunlight.

Same Selfie Lens, But Downgraded Rear Camera:
Like most others at this price point, the Infinix Smart 10 comes with a basic camera setup. On the front of the phone is an 8MP selfie lens, which is also what you get on the Smart 9. However, the earlier phone's 13MP main rear camera has been downgraded to an 8MP camera on the Smart 10. You'll hardly notice any difference between the shots taken with the Smart 10 and those of the earlier phone, though.
Generally speaking, and as expected, photos taken with the Infinix Smart 10 are not particularly detailed or appealing. However, they look decent and manageable, provided you take them in good lighting conditions.

If you prioritize the camera in a budget phone at this price point, i would say you should go for the Redmi A5. The Redmi phone is equipped with a higher 32MP rear camera. As a result, photos taken with the phone are notably more detailed and clearer than those from the Smart 10.
By the way, with both its front and rear cameras, the Infinix Smart 10 can shoot videos up to 1080p at 30fps (frames per second).

Latest Software, Different CPU, Yet Similar Performance:
Out of the box, the Infinix Smart 10 boots the latest Android 15 (Go Edition) OS with Infinix XOS 15.1 custom UI on top. However, while the competing Redmi A5, which also features the same Android version and CPU, assures buyers up to two years of major (OS) updates, it's unlikely the Smart 10 will get major software updates. Nonetheless, the Smart 10 is among the very few entry-level budget phones that come pre-installed with Android 15 OS.

It's a known fact that the more expensive Infinix budget phones, especially the ones that comes with Android 15, are pre-loaded with some AI features, however, due to the limited capabilities of the Smart 10's CPU, you can't experience full-fledge AI features on this phone. Though the phone offers a few basic ones-three precisely. These are Folax (Infinix Voice Assistant), Document Assistant, & Writing Assistant.

Talking about its CPU, the Infinix Smart 10 is powered by the Unisoc T7250 CPU. Like the Helio G81 Ultra that's inside the Smart 9, the T7250 is a recently unveiled 12nm octa-core entry-level CPU. In fact, as i said, both of these processors offer similar performance. However, while the Helio G81 clocks at 2.0GHz, the T7250 clocks at 1.8GHz. Though the difference in their maximum clock speed doesn't reflect in regular tasks and daily usage, as both phones move swiftly and smoothly. When being pushed and in performance tests, the Helio G81-powered Smart 9 slightly outshines the Smart 10 a little.

However, the Smart 10 packs slightly better graphics power. This is because the phone's Unisoc CPU features the Mali-G57 MP1 GPU (clocked at 850MHz), while the Helio G81 Ultra features the Mali-G51 GPU (clocked at 820MHz). So, when it comes to demanding games, the T7250-powered Smart 10 performs slightly better than the Smart 9. Nonetheless, it should be noted that, like the Smart 9, the Smart 10 is not a gaming phone.

Our review unit of the Smart 10 has 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone also comes in 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, as well as a 4GB of RAM and 128GB storage variant. Still, whichever variant you choose, you can expand its storage, via microSD card, up to 2TB.

Same Battery Capacity, But Increased Charging Speed.
The Infinix Smart 10 retains the 5,000mAh battery of the Smart 9, but the 10W charging of the earlier phone has been increased to 15W. Though the 15W charging speed is still on the low side compared to the regular 18W, but this is what you also get on the competing Redmi A5. The Redmi phone, however, packs a slightly bigger 5,200mAh battery.
Meanwhile, with its-out-of-the box 15W charger, it will take you almost two and a half hours to fully charged the Infinix Smart 10 battery from zero percent.
