Basically, for a lost-cost android phone, i think Itel got the design of the P37 right. Though, the phone resembles Itel P36 and it also has the same 6.5-inch 720p Drop-notched screen, yet, it looks more attractive than its predecessor. In addition to that, Itel P37 is easier to hold and it's not on the heavy side too. Compared to that of the earlier phone also, the display of the Itel P37 is slightly brighter, clearer, and the colours also look better.

While the front of the Itel P37 looks like that of the Itel P36, the back of the phone looks quite different. Because Itel P37 spots a better-looking back cover and prettier camera bump. In short, these two features contribute mostly to the more attractive looks of the Itel P37.
Still, like the earlier phone, Itel P37 features an 8-megapixel dual back camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. This phone also has face unlock and a rear-mounted fingerprint reader like its predecessor.

However, Itel P37 is more of a beauty than a processing power. Though i wasn't expecting this phone to be as snappy as midrange or other more expensive entry-level phones, still with its 2GB of RAM and 32GB storage (which is higher than the 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage of the Itel P36), i didn't expect this phone to become slower while performing simple tasks as switching between few (and already opened) Apps.
I think what's responsible for this is the phone CPU, the Unisoc SC7731E; the same processor that powered Itel P36. I assume the older low-tier chipset is incapable of running Android 10 (Go Edition) smoothly, let's even forget the fact that the OS is not a full version of the Android 10.
Nonetheless, considering the phone's price, in relation to its design, display, storage, RAM and battery capacity, i'd still recommend Itel P37 anytime. You just have to take it slow with this phone.

Meanwhile, except for its higher RAM, higher storage and recent OS, other internal features of the Itel P37 remain as those of the Itel P36. For instance, and besides having the same CPU as the earlier phone, Itel P37 also has a 5000mAh battery. Also like its predecessor, this phone does not support 4G (LTE) networks. In other words, Itel P37 is a 3G phone and it comes with dual Nano SIM card slots.

NOTE: The Pro model of this phone, i.e., Itel P37 Pro, supports 4G (LTE) networks and it's also equipped with a faster CPU and slightly bigger (and better) display. Click Itel P37 Pro Vs Itel P37 to learn more about the Pro model.
Tecno Spark Go 2021 is another 4G phone which is also similar to the Itel P37 Pro. But both Itel P37 Pro and Tecno Spark Go 2021 attract a little higher price, compared to the Itel P37.

Itel P37 Price And Design Colour:
Currently, the price of the Itel P37 is around 55,900 naira. And it's available in three colour options of Gradient Purple, Gradient Blue and Dark Blue.

Though Same Design, Still, The Latest Phone Looks More Attractive:
Though the design of this phone is similar to that of the Itel P36 and it also has the same 6.5-inch drop-notched display as the earlier phone, yet as i mentioned earlier, Itel P37 looks more attractive than the earlier phone. And the major things that make Itel P37 to look more appealing than its predecessor are its camera bump and back cover. The camera bump on the latest phone looks trendier and its back cover also spots a more stylish design pattern.

Furthermore, with its 6.5-inch screen and 165.4x76.2x8.9mm dimensions, Itel P37 is slightly on the big side, yet, thanks to its slim frame and 19.5:9 aspect ratio, this phone is sizable. In other words, the aspect ratio prevents Itel P37 from appearing too wide or too narrow, therefore, the phone is easy to hold and operate with one hand comfortably. In addition to that, the phone is not that heavy, though its actual weight is not disclosed.

Except for the few ones mentioned above, other visible features of the Itel P37 are exactly like those of the Itel P36. For instance, you have only microphone and microUSB port on the bottom edge of the Itel P37, because the 3.5mm audio jack is placed on the top edge. Also like that of the earlier model, the single speaker of this phone is placed on its back (and it's located towards the bottom end). And as usual, the power button and volume rockers are placed on the right edge of the phone.

There is nothing on the left edge of the phone. Which also means that unlike the other more expensive entry-level and midrange smartphones, Itel P37 doesn't have 3-in-1 SIM slot (and tray); which often located on the left edge. Therefore, and like that of the Itel P36, you have to open the back cover of the Itel P37 before you can have access to its dual Nano SIM card slot and MicroSD card slot.

Same Camera As The Itel P36:
Though, the shots from the 5-megapixel front camera and 8-megapixel (8+0.3) dual back camera of the Itel P37 are sharp and clear, but they are not detailed. The picture qualities are also okay but not impressive.
Just remember that Itel P (Power) Series focuses more on higher battery capacity than good cameras. What i'm trying to say is that if you want a low budget phone with better camera, you might want to consider other slightly expensive low-budget smartphones such as the Tecno Spark Go 2021 or the Pro version of the Itel P37 (mentioned above).
Meanwhile, like those of its predecessor, both the front and back cameras of the Itel P37 are only capable of shooting 720p videos at 30fps (frame per second).

Same 6.5-inch Drop-notch Display, But Slightly Brighter And Clearer Picture:
The 6.5-inch drop-notched display of the Itel P37 features 1600x720 resolution like that of the Itel P36. Which also implies that the screen has the same pixel density of 269ppi. However, the screen of the latest phone is slightly brighter and clearer, and the colours also look better. Yet, the colours are still not as rich as that of the Itel P37 Pro or those of other more expensive entry-level and midrange phones. In fact, if you want a more clearer display with better colours, you should go for the Pro version of this phone.

Higher RAM, Higher Storage, Recent OS, But Same CPU:
The Unisoc (Spreadtrum) SC7731E that powered Itel P37 is a low tier quad-core processor. And it's the same processor that powered Itel P36. This processor has a maximum clock speed of 1.3GHz and it's fitted with the Mali-T820 MP1 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit); which is suitable for low-graphics or light games.
But while the earlier phone was running on the Android 9 Pie (Go Edition), Itel P37 is preloaded with the Android 10 Oreo (Go Editon). This phone also comes with some features such as Dark Mode, One Hand Mode and Eye Care Mode.
Also compared to 1GB of RAM and 16GB storage of the Itel P36, Itel P37 is fitted with 2GB of RAM and twice storage space of 32GB. The internal storage can still be expanded, via microSDcard, up to 64GB.

Same 5000mAh Battery:
Itel P36 has a 5,000mAh battery like its predecessor and it also comes with a 5W charger, which is lower than the standard 10W charger that's common among midrange phones. As a result, it might take you about four hours (more or less) to fully charge this phone battery.
