Among the recently unveiled Samsung android phones, this is the one of the cheapest. Even among other low-budget android phones from the popular brands in this region, such as Infinix Mobility and Tecno Mobile, Samsung Galaxy A03 Core is still one of the cheapest.

As a result of its cheap price, A03 Core packed basic components and has simple design. Yet Samsung still manage to equip this phone with necessary and up-to-date features; which makes it stands out among its peers. For instance, the phone is fitted with a better chipset. Yet, despite having better chipset, A03 Core was still optimized to run faster than many entry-level android phones.
This phone also has a better build quality. And it sports a nice and trendy looks, provided you're looking at it from the front though. Because the back of the phone looks plain and dated.

Meanwhile, A03 Core is one of the three variants of the recently unveiled Samsung Galaxy A03; the entry-level android phone from the Samsung Mobile. Galaxy A03 is also the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A02.
By the way, the other two variants (besides the A03 Core) are Samsung Galaxy A03 (which is the standard variant), and Samsung Galaxy A03s, the most equipped one. But this write-up focuses mainly on the Samsung Galaxy A03 Core.

As expected, A03 Core is the cheapest of all the three variants, and the least equipped. Yet, this phone shares the same form factor (body) and looks with the other two. In other words, Samsung A03 Core has the same dimension, same shape and the same 6.5-inch display as the Samsung A03 and A03s. The phone also has a plastic frame like them.

Though there is nothing unusual about the looks of the A03 core, because the 6.5-inch drop-notched display of this phone still resembles those of other low-budget android phones out there. Even, as i mentioned earlier, the back of the phone looks less appealing.
Also while the likes of the Infinix Smart 6 3G (X657) and Itel P38 weigh about 185g, Samsung A03 Core is slightly on the heavier side with its 211g weight.

However, as i said earlier, unlike many of those phones, Samsung A03 Core has a better build quality.
Besides its build quality, another (if not the first) strong feature of the Samsung A03 Core is its display.
For a low budget android phone, the 6.5-inch 720p display of the A03 Core is unusually appealing to look at, the screen is clear, bright, and the colours look vibrant and rich.

Furthermore, while a few other within this price range, such as the two phones mentioned above, feature low-end quad-core CPUs, Galaxy A03 Core is fitted with the Unisoc SC9863A processor. Though this is also a low-end CPU, but it's an octa-core one, and it's also a recent chipset.
Also unlike the two phones, Galaxy A03 Core support 4G LTE networks.

However, corner has been cut in some other places. For instance, A03 Core doesn't have face unlock, neither does it have fingerprint reader. So, you'll have to settle for other means of phone security such as pin or screen pattern.

Also while the backs of the Smart 6 3G and Itel P38 are mounted with dual back cameras, A03 Core comes with a single-lens rear camera. Yet the single-lens rear camera still has an 8-megapixel sensor like the primary rear cameras of the two phones. The pictures from the single rear camera are also slightly clearer than those from the two phones'.

However, just like the one on the Itel P38, there is a 5-megapixel selfie lens on the front of the A03 Core. But Infinix Smart 6 3G offers a better 8-megapixel front-facing camera.

Meanwhile, like the others, Samsung Galaxy A03 features 2GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage, and it also runs on the Android 11 Go Edition with Samsung's One UI on top. This phone also comes with 5000mAh battery, microUSB port and single bottom-firing speaker.

NOTE: If you're the type of person that like his or her phone to have comprehensive features, especially those things that often accompanied mid-range or slightly expensive entry-level android phones, Samsung Galaxy A03 Core is not meant for you. Because this phone lacks fingerprint reader, face unlock, and it also has one rear camera.
If you want all those things in a phone and within this price range, i'll recommend the two phones mentioned above, i.e., Infinix Smart 6 3G and Itel P38.
But as i said earlier, and compared to those phones, A03 Core offers a much better display, better build quality, a recent and more faster processor, a slightly clearer back camera, and support for 4G networks.

Price And Colours:
Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy A03 Core is available in two colour options of Blue or Black. Currently, the price of the phone around 58,999 Naira (R 1,799.00).

A Pretty 6.5-inch 720p Display:
Like others in this segment, the 6.5-inch display of the A03 Core has an HD+ resolution of 1600x720, with pixel density (or sharpness) of 270ppi. But instead of having the usual low quality IPS-LCD panel like most of those phones, the display of A03 Core is fitted with a PLS-LCD panel. Though this panel is often found on Samsung's low budget android phones, yet the panel is of the same quality with standard IPS-LCD panel (that comes with mid-range phones).

As result of its better panel, the screen of the Samsung A03 Core looks much better than those of its mates. The colours look rich and realistic on this screen. Also due to its high contrast and high brightness level, the screen of the A03 Core also look vibrant; thereby making it usable under direct sunlight. Still, despite it's vibrant picture, A03 Core screen is good for prolong reading, because it's easy on the eyes.

Better And Highly Optimized Processing Power:
As expected of a low-end Android phone, Samsung A03 Core is fitted with 2GB of RAM, and it also runs on the Go Edition (lighter version) of the Android 11 OS with stripped version of Samsung's One UI (User Interface) i.e., One UI 3.1 Core, on top.

But, better than the 1.3GHz quad-core processors that accompanied both of the Smart 6 3G and Itel P38, A03 Core is powered by a more better octa-core processor; Unisoc SC9863A.
Apart from being an octa-core processor, Unisoc SC9863A is also has an higher clock speed of 1.6GHz. This chipset is also fitted a more better PowerVR-GE8322 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit).

Although, this chipset is still a low-end one, but with Samsung One UI on top of the Android Go Edition, Galaxy A03 Core has been optimized to run faster, even faster than a few more expensive phones.
Therefore, with medium graphics setting, A03 Core was able to handle many popular mid-range games. Meanwhile, the 32GB internal storage space of the A03 Core can still be expanded, via microSD card, up to 1 TB (Terabyte).

Manageable Front Camera but Better Rear Camera:
Surprisingly, the front-facing camera of the A03 Core was able to take decent selfies, though as expected of a 5-megapixel (f/2.2) selfie lens, the pictures are not that sharp or detail, still, they look good and natural.

Yet, what the phone lacks in front camera, it makes up for it in rear camera. Because the pictures from the single-lens 8-megapixel (f/2.0 autofocus) rear camera of this phone are slightly more detail than those of the competitors. And they also offer a better picture qualities.
Meanwhile, both the front and rear cameras of the Samsung A03 Core are capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps (frame per second).

5000mAh Battery, But No Quick Charging:
Though Samsung Galaxy A03 Core features microUSB port and 5000mAh battery like others in this segment, but the phone does not support 15W fast charging like the Itel P38, neither does it support the standard 10W charging like the Smart 6 3G. Instead, the phone features an 8W charging. Therefore, with the phone's out-of-the-box 8W charger, it'll take a little over four hours to fully charge Samsung A03 Core when it drops to 1 per cent.
