If you're in the market for a low-budget Android phone, which also offers desirable features such as 4G network, bigger battery, fingerprint reader, face unlock and a large 720p display, Infinix Smart 6 is a right choice.
Infinix Smart 6 is the latest model of the Smart Series; an entry-level android phone from the Infinix Mobility. And it's also the successor to the Infinix Smart 5.

Though, compared to the Smart 5, Smart 6 has one or two unique features, however, the phone still packed almost all the features of the Smart 5. And it also comes in the body (size and shape) of the earlier phone. Therefore, and to me, Infinix Smart 6 is an identical replacement for the outgoing Smart 5.

Meanwhile, Infinix Smart 6 is available in three variants. And these are Smart 6 3G (or X657), Smart 6 4G (or X6511B) and Smart 6 Plus (X6511G).
As expected, the cheapest one among the three is the Smart 6 3G, while the highest priced one is the Smart 6 Plus.

Basically, all of them come in the body of Smart 5, and each of them has the same 6.6-inch 720p display, 8-megapixel dual back camera, 2GB of RAM, 32GB storage space, and 5000mAh battery as the the earlier model.
Individually, however, each of them has its unique feature(s) which helps in differentiating it from the others.

Starting from the Infinix Smart 6 3G. It should be noted that this variant is still the same as the cheapest variant of the Smart 5, i.e., Infinix Smart 5 (X657). Apart from having the same model number (X657), Smart 6 3G is the only one among the three latest phones that has a rectangular-shaped camera module like the earlier phone.

Also, like those on the Smart 5, the dual camera and LED flash, on the back of this phone, are also arranged in an Inverted L manner (inside the camera bump).
This phone also has the same 8-megapixel front-facing camera and the same 1.3Ghz Quad-core CPU.

But while it's easy to sport Smart 6 3G (as a result of its rectangular-shaped camera bump) among the three latest phones, it's difficult to tell apart Infinix Smart 6 4G (X6511B) from the Smart 6 Plus (X6511G). Because both of these variants have an identical square-shaped camera bumps.

Also unlike those of the 3G variant that are arranged in an inverted-L manner, the rear cameras and LED lights of the two phones are placed at the four corners of their square-shaped camera bumps.
Therefore, physically, you can't really tell the difference between Infinix Smart 6 4G and Smart 6 Plus, unless you go straight to their Phone Settings.

By the way, like the 3G variant, Smart 6 Plus also has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. But the Smart 6 4G (X6511B) is fitted with a lower 5-megapixel front camera. I wonder why Infinix would put 5-megapixel camera Infront of the 4G variant.

Under the hood, and despite featuring the same 2GB of RAMs and 32GB internal storages, each of the three phones packed different CPUs.
Infinix Smart 6 3G is fitted with the MediaTek MT6580 CPU, while the Smart 6 4G, that follows, is powered by the Unisoc SC9863A CPU. And the Plus variant is equipped with the MediaTek Helio A22 CPU.

Though there is no much difference in the performance of all the three CPUs, as all of them are low-end processors. Still, the Unisoc SC9863A and Helio A22, that powered the respective Smart 6 4G and Smart 6 Plus, are more better than the MT6580 that's inside Smart 6 3G.

And to reaffirm that the 3G variant is still the last year's Smart 5 X657, it's the only one among the three phones that runs on the Android 10 (Go Edition), the other two run on the Android 11 (Go Edition).

Meanwhile, despite that all of them sported an identical 6.6-inch IPS-LCD displays, still there are subtle differences in their screens picture qualities, and the level of brightness. Overall, the picture qualities of the Smart 6 Plus display is the best, followed by that of the Smart 6 4G, more on that later.

Apart from its rectangular-shaped camera module, another way to differentiate Smart 6 3G from other two is through the position of its 3.5mm audio jack.
Although all three phones have their microphones, 3.5mm audio jacks, MicroUSB ports and speakers concentrated on their bottom edges. But starting from the left side, it's only the 3G variant that has its microphone comes first, before the 3.5mm audio jack. The other two phones have their 3.5mm audio jacks come first, before microphones.

Still, all of the three phones' volume rockers and power buttons are on their left edges, and each phone's Dual Nano SIM+SD card slot (and tray) is located on the left edge.
Also, there is nothing on the top edges of the three phones.

Price And Design Colours:
Infinix Smart 6 is available in four colour options of Purple, Ocean Blue, Light Sea Green, & Polar Black.
Currently, the price of the Smart 6 3G is 65,500 Naira, while those of the Smart 6 4G and Smart 6 Plus is 71,500 Naira and 76,500 Naira respectively.

Though Same 6.6" 720p Displays, But Slightly Different Picture Qualities:
Apart from having higher battery capacities and supporting 4G LTE networks (excluding Smart 6 3G), another selling point of these phones are their big 6.6-inch HD+ screens. Because these are the kind of screens that often come with mid-range or more expensive Android phones.

However, despite the fact that all of them feature the same 6.6-inch displays, the picture qualities of their screens are slightly different.
Though, at a glance, you won't notice the difference, even if you have the privilege of placing them side by side. But a little more time with them, you'll start to notice the differences.

Starting from the display of the Smart 6 3G and that of the Smart 6 4G. Because both of these variants have the same screen aspect ratio and the same HD+ resolution, while the Smart 6 Plus, on the other hand, features a slightly different aspect ratio and a different HD+ resolution.

So, as a result of their identical 1600x720 (HD+) resolution, both the Smart 6 3G and Smart 6 4G displays also have the same pixel density (or sharpness) of 266ppi. However, the screen of the Smart 6 4G is a little brighter, and also renders more realistic colours than that of the Smart 6 3GB.

Still, the brightness level on the Smart 6 4G screen is only good for normal lighting conditions. If you're the type of person that'd prefer a slightly brighter display, at least, the one that will be able to cope under direct sunlight, i'd say you should go for the Smart 6 Plus. Even Infinix called the screen of the Plus Sunlight, because of its better (500nits) brightness level. In additional to that, pictures and colours looks crisps and more vibrant on the Plus screen, when you compared it to that of the Smart 6 4G.

Also, compared to the 1600x720 HD+ resolution of the Smart 6 3G and Smart 6 4G displays, the Smart 6 Plus display has a slightly different HD+ resolution of 1612x720 (at 268ppi); and this is as a result of the phone's distinct aspect ratio of 20.15:9; which is a slightly different from the 20:9 aspect ratio of the other two variants.

Same RAM, Storage, But Different Processors:
Unlike the Unisoc SC9863A and Helio A22 of the respective Smart 6 and Smart 6 Plus, the MT6580 of the Smart 6 (X657) doesn't support 4G LTE. And it's also the least powerful of the three.

MediaTek MT6580 is a 28nm Cortex-A7 quad-core CPU, with a maximum clock speed of 1.3GHz.
On the other hand. The Unisoc SC9863A that powered Smart 6 4G is a 28nm Cortex-A55 Octa-Core processor, and it has clock speeds of up to 1.6GHz. The MediaTek Helio A22 that powered Smart 6 Plus is a 12nm Cortex-A53 Quad-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.0GHz.

Yet, despite the fact that SC9863A is an Octa-Core processor, it has almost the same processing power as the Helio A22. Perhaps because the latter has a more faster clock speed.
I also noticed that Smart 6 Plus is slightly more power efficient than the Smart 6 4G. Which i concluded that it has to do with its MediaTek chipset.

Also, out of the three chipsets, the MT6580 (of the 3G variant) has the least powerful GPU (Graphics Processing Unit). This doesn't come as a surprise because it is also the one with least powerful CPU.
While the Unisoc SC9863A and Helio A22 are fitted with PowerVR GE8322 and PowerVR GE8320 GPUs, respectively, MT6580 is fitted with the Mali-400 GPU.
But, despite the fact that the other two GPUs are better than the Mali-400, they are still not designed for high graphics gaming.

Meanwhile, as a result of their low RAMs and low-end processors, all the three phones are running on the lighter (Go Edition) versions of Android OS (Operating System).
But while both the Smart 6 4G and Smart 6 Plus are pre-installed with the Go Edition of the Android 11, Smart 6 3G comes with the Go Edition of the Android 10. And it also has an older version (6.2) of the Infinix XOS custom UI, while the other two are pre-loaded with recent version (7.6) of the XOS custom UI.

And as they all have the same 2GB RAMs and 32GB internal storage capacities, each phone's internal storage capacity can also be expanded, through microSD card.

Decent Cameras:
The 8-megapixel dual rear camera of each phones was able to take decent pictures. The colours looks good, and they do not appear washed-out or overblown (especially the ones from the Plus variant). But these pictures are not detail or sharp, when you compared them to those of the slightly more expensive entry-level phones, especially those that have 13-megapixel rear camera.

Though, agreed, what you normally get on this kind of phone is either 5-megapixel or 8-megapixel front-facing camera. But I don't know why Infinix would put 5-megapixel lens on the front of the Smart 6 4G, and put 8-megapixel lens on the front of the 3G variant.

Anyway, the front cameras of these phones do not disappoint either. Because like those of the more costlier budget phones, the selfies from the three variants (especially the ones from the Plus and 3G variant) are detail and clear.
Meanwhile, both the front and rear cameras of all the variants are capable of shooting 1080p videos at 30fps (frame per second).

The Same 5000mAh Batteries:
Also like the earlier Smart 5, all the three variants of the Infinix Smart 6 are equipped with 5000mAh batteries, and none of them also support fast charging. Therefore, and with their out-of-the-box 10W chargers, it might take you about four hours to fully charged these phones batteries when it drops to one percent.
