Though, Nokia C1 has a better build quality than the Itel A55, nonetheless, both of them feature FWVGA+ displays, same entry level Unisoc (Spreadtrum) chipset, same 1GB of RAMs and same 16GB internal storage capacities. Furthermore, both of them are also 3G enabled phones and they are pre-loaded with the Android 9 Pie (Go Edition).

Meanwhile, Itel A55 and Nokia C1 are introduced at different times. While Itel A55 has been around since July last year, Nokia HMD unveiled C1 over a couple of months ago. Yet, the review focuses on the two phones because of their current similar price of about N25,000 and their almost the same specs.

A55 Has Bigger Screen, But C1 Has Scratch Resistant Display:
As expected of low-cost, basic specs smartphones, both phones feature a simple and slightly dated design. Nonetheless, due to its 6.0-inch display, Itel A55 is the bigger of the two phones, while Nokia C1 offers lesser screen size of 5.5-inch. Yet, like i mentioned earlier, Nokia C1 has a better build quality, with a scratch resistant glass on the front (can't say this about Itel A55 though).

Nonetheless, both of them come with the same plastic bodies, same 18:9 screen aspect ratio and both of their screens also have thick bezels at the top and bottom; which gave them the dated appearance, nevertheless, Itel A55 has a slightly better or a more recent look.

A55 Has Dual Back Camera And Fingerprint Reader But C1 Has Google Assistant Button:
Turning them over, you'll find a single lens camera on the back of the Nokia C1 while the Itel A55 features dual-lens back camera. And the A55 back cameras are arranged in a vertical manner (with flash) on the left hand corner of its back. While the single lens back camera of the C1, and its flash, are placed on the top-centre of its back, and they are also arranged in a vertical manner.

Apart from having dual lens back camera, Itel A55 also comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint reader, the feature that is missing on the Nokia C1. On the other hand, Nokia C1 comes with the Google Assistant Button, but the dedicated button is missing on the Itel A55 too.

Yet, both phones have their power button and volume rockers placed on their right edges and 3.5mm audio jacks on their top edges. And while their microUSB ports and microphones are located on the bottom edges, you'll find the speakers towards the end of the their back covers.

C1 Has Removable Battery But The Phone is Heavier than A55:
Like many other low-cost smartphones, Itel A55 and Nokia C1 doesn't have hybrid SIM slot, that means you'll have to open their back covers before you can have access to their SIM slots. And while the Itel A55 comes with an in-built battery, Nokia C1 has a user removable battery.
Meanwhile, Despite its bigger and thicker frame, A55 is lighter than the Nokia C1. Because the Itel phone has a weight of 133g, while Nokia C1 weigh 155g.

Same Processor, RAM, Storage Space And O.S.:
Both Nokia C1 and Itel A55 are powered by the Unisoc (Spreadtrum) SC7731, a Cortex A7 dual-core processor; which shares the same processing power with the MediaTek MT6580; that came with the Itel P32, P33 Plus and the Infinix Hot 8 Lite. And both Nokia C1 and Itel A55 also feature Mali-400 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) like those mentioned smartphones.

Both phones are also equipped with same 1GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage space. And for their internal space expansion, both of them also support microSD card of up to 64GB.

Itel A55 Has Slightly Better Cameras And Face Unlock:
It appears Itel A55 are fitted with the better cameras than the Nokia C1, this is because both the front and back camera of the Itel phone packed slightly higher megapixels lenses.
In other words, and apart from having dual back camera, the Main back camera of the Itel A55 is fitted with an 8-MP lens, while the single lens back camera of the Nokia C1 has 5-MP lens. Itel Mobile also equipped the front camera of the A55 with an 8-MP lens; which is also higher than the 5-MP selfie camera of the Nokia C1.

Meanwhile, the 0.3-MP second back camera of the Itel A55 assist the Main camera in taking low-light shots, i.e., it ensures Itel A55 delivers a better low-light or night pictures. And besides its rear-mounted fingerprint reader, Itel A55 also comes with the Face Unlock, but this features is missing in the Nokia C1.

Same FWVGA+ (960x480) Displays, But C1 Display Is Sharper (due to its small size):
Though, compare to the 5.5-inch display of the Nokia C1, Itel A55 has a bigger 6.0-inch screen. But the pictures and texts on the Itel A55 bigger dispay appear a little blurry. And it is because both phones' displays have the same FWVGA+ resolutions of 960x480. which makes the smaller screen of the Nokia C1 to packed slightly higher pixel density of 197ppi, while the Itel A55 screen has a pixel density of 179ppi. Therefore, Nokia C1 display is a little sharper.

Unimpressive Battery Lives:
Compared to those of the few others in the segment, the batteries capacacities of A55 and C1 are not that impressive. In details, Nokia C1 comes with a 2500mAh user-removable battery while the Itel A55 has an in-built battery of 2900mAh capacity. Though, considering their lower resolution displays and their entry-level Spreadtrum chipset, the batteries will last a little longer than usual. Besides, the removable battery of the Nokia C1 might encourage the buyer to get extra battery for the smaller phone.
