Complete List Of The 2019 Samsung TV Models And Their Different Features.

Though, Samsung introduces AirPlay 2 (as a result of its partnership with the Apple), Ultra Viewing Angle and 1 or 2 other new features. But, what the company did most in its 2019 TV line up is; extending some of the features of its year 2018 flagship or premium models to the mid-range and some select models.
Samsung also made improvements to some of the existing features, so that more of its 2019 TV models can delivers a more accurate colours and vivid pictures than their predecessors.

For instance, the Quantum Processor (which was limited to the 2018 8K QLED TV) is now extended to all the 2019 4K UHD TV models with QLED panel, including the Lifestyle TVs. And Speaking of the Samsung Lifestyle TV; the 2019 Frame and Serif TV also feature QLED display, instead of the usual VA-LED display that came with their 2018 counterparts.

In addition, the company also introduces more bigger screens in its 2019 TV line up. For instance, unlike the last year's NU7100 models that includes 40-inch size, the display sizes for this year entry level model, i.e. RU7100, starts from the 43-inch upwards, while Samsung also introduces a much bigger 98-inch size to its 2019 8K models.

Meanwhile, the 2019 Samsung TV line up can be identified by the presence of letter R within the TVs model numbers. Just like the way the 2017 and 2018 Samsung TV models can be recognized by the letter M and letter N respectively.
And as usual, Samsung TV model numbers that includes UN is for the America, the UE is for the Europe, while the UA is mostly meant for other regions.

What's New:
Introduction of Quantum Processor 4K:
Samsung introduced Quantum Processor 4K to all of its 2019 4K UHD QLED TV, including Samsung Lifestyle TVs (because the 2019 Samsung Lifestyle TVs also features QLED display too).
Therefore, like the Quantum Processor 8K, the Quantum Processor 4k also uses AI-Upscalling to upscale lower contents such as 1080p, 720p and SD to a 4k-like resolution. Also the processor make use of the machine learning to improve the picture and audio quality of the content or video.

Ultra Viewing Angle:
Different from the previous Wide Viewing Angle, the premium models of the 2019 Samsung QLED TVs i.e. Q950R, Q900RB, Q90R, Q85R and Q80R come with Ultra Viewing Angle. Ultra Viewing Angle ensures that the picture qualities (colours, contrast and black levels) of your QLED TV remain the same, irrespective of your sitting or viewing position. UVA also features the antireflective technology, which also removes reflections and glares on your TV screen.

Upgraded One Connect Box:
The 2019 One Connect Box also comes with a full bandwidth HDMI 2.1 Port, the feature that's missing in the 2018 model of the Box. The 2019 8K TV models also feature HDMI 2.1 port.

Apple's AirPlay 2:
Samsung, in partnership with Apple, introduces Apple's AirPlay 2 to all of its 2019 TV Line up. AirPlay 2 allows you to wirelessly share media contents in your Apple's iPhone, iPad or MacBook with the new Samsung TV.

Samsung's Updated features:
Apart from the above, the 2019 Samsung TV line up comes with mostly updated features of the 2018 models.

Updated 8K QLED TV:
For instance, the 2018 Ultra premium 8K models called Q900R, has become Q900RB (in the U.S.) and Q950R (in the Europe) in this year line up. The 2019 8K models also feature HDMI 2.1 port and their sizes has increased to the 98-inches too.

FreeSync is extended to more models:
Though the Auto Game Mode is found in almost all the 2019 TV line up, still AMD Radeon FreeSync and VRR is now extended to more of the Samsung TV models. The feature are found on the following models: Q900BRF, Q950R, Q90R, Q80R (Q85R), Q70R, Q60R, and RU8000.

Picture Engine:
Concerning the Picture Engine, all the QLED TV models feature Quantum Dot Picture Engine. And while the RU8000 and RU7400 models feature Dynamic Crystal Colour Picture Engine, the RU7300 and RU7100 models, on the other hand, feature PurColor Picture Engine.

Increased PQI:
The PQI (Picture Quality Index) of the 2019 Samsung TV line up, as usual, varies from model to model. Specifically, this year PQI starts from 1400 of the RU7100 model and ends with 4300; which belongs to the Ultra-premium 950R 8K QLED TV.
Despite their different PQI and Picture  Engine, still, all these TV line up support HDR10, HDR10+ and HLG. But, none of the 2019 Samsung TV models support Dolby Vision.

4K UHD Processor:
Like i mentioned earlier, while the 2019 4K Q-LED TVs feature Quantum Processor 4K, the 2019 8K Q-LED TV still maintain the Quantum Processor 8K, like its predecessor. Meanwhile, all other 2019 Samsung TVs models with VA-LED (Non-QLED) display feature 4K UHD Processor.

Local and Micro Dimming:
Except for the Q60R models and the Samsung Lifestyle TVs, all the rest of the 2019 QLED TV series have Direct Full Array Backlights, as a result of this, they feature Local Dimming technology.
However, because the rest of the Samsung TV line up, including Q60R models and the Lifestyle TVs, come with Edge-lit Backlights, therefore, they all feature Samsung Micro Dimming technology, which can either be UHD Dimming, Supreme UHD dimming or Ultimate UHD dimming.

Ambient Mode:
All the 2019 Samsung QLED TVs, including Serif TV, also features Ambient Mode, however, instead of having Ambient Mode like other Q-LED models, the Frame TV features Art Mode.
And all the models of the 2019 Samsung TV support Tizen 5.0, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant and AirPlay 2, but the Samsung Bixby might be absent in the RU7100 and RU7300 models.
