Infinix Note 5 Stylus Offers Better Camera, More Storage And RAM Than Note 5.

Infinix Note 5 Stylus is a newly unveiled smartphone from the Infinix Mobility, the new phone is also the is the more equipped variant of the recently released Infinix Note 5. However, instead of using Pro, the term that Infinix has always used for the improved version of its Note series (and some models), the company settled for Stylus this time. And i think this is has to do with the fact that Stylus Pen is the signature of the Note Series.

Although, Note 5 Stylus and Note 5 share the same looks, yet, instead of having plastic body like the Note 5, Note 5 Stylus comes with a metal (aluminum) body which gives the phone a premium look and feel. Also, a few changes that have taken place on the back of the new phone, for example, Note 5 Stylus comes with an upgraded rear camera lens. The camera and fingerprint reader have also been repositioned.

Under the hood, Infinix Note 5 Stylus comes with an increased RAM and internal storage capacity that is twice of that of Note 5. However, Note 5 Stylus  is fitted with a 4000mAh battery, which is less than that of the Note 5. Apart from those changes, other aspect of the Note 5 remains the same in the new Note 5 Stylus.

Meanwhile, Infinix Note 5 Stylus comes in 3 colours of Black, Red and Gold. Furtherm, because Note 5 is also expected to come in another less storage option of 32GB, apart from the main one of  64GB, therefore, the price of the 32GB one is expected to be around $192 which is about 69,500 Naira while the one with 64GB storage is expected to be about $227 i.e. around 82,000 Naira.

The following are the  prominent features that distinguished Note 5 Stylus from the Note 5.

Note 5 Stylus Comes with Slot for its X-pen: The trademark (signature) of the Infinix's Note phones is the Stylus and the company named its own Stylus X-pen. It's a digital pen that functions like your traditional pen or pencil, thereby allowing you to write, draw, even quickly jot a few notes on your phone. In fact, it allows you to virtually do on your phone what you normally do on the paper with traditional pen or pencil.
Furthermore, just like in the flagship Samsung Note 9, located at the bottom of the Note 5 stylus is the built-in stylus (X-pen) slot; for housing or safekeeping your X-pen and, probably, for charging it also.

2-in-1 Hybrid Sim Tray: Meanwhile, the phone comes with 2-in-1 hybrid Sim tray; this means you won't be able to put your 2 Nano Sim cards and microSD card in the Note 5 stylus at the same time. Therefore, you either sacrifice one of the the Sim cards for the microSD card or sacrifice the microSD card for the 2 Sim cards, this is the reason i still prefer the 3-in-1 Sim tray of Infinix Hot S3 which can contain all the 3 (2 SIMs+microSD) cards at the same time.

Upgraded Back Camera: At the back of the phone, you'll find 16MP (f/1.8) single lens camera, this is a remarkable improvement over the 12MP back camera of the Note 5. Though, both phones back cameras are designed to produce bright and clear images from the picture taken at night or low-light environments, but because of the improved sensor and the increased megapixels, the back camera of the stylus ensures better picture quality than that of the Note 5.

The Back Camera has been rearranged too: Another major changes that differentiate Note 5 Plus from the Note 5 is the rearrangement of the back camera, in other word, the upgraded single lens back camera is now placed at the top centre-back of the phone instead of the top left-side position on the Note 5. Another spotted difference is that while the back camera (with led flash) is horizontally placed on the back of previous Note 5, it is now vertically placed on the back of the new Note 5 Stylus.

Repositioned fingerprint reader: Although, like in the previous Note 5, the latest Note 5 Stylus also comes with rear-mounted fingerprint reader. However, while the fingerprint sensor of the Note 5 is located at the centre-back of the phone (close to the top), the fingerprint reader of the new Note 5 Stylus is closely placed under the back camera, in fact, both the back camera and fingerprint reader are enclosed together and they are vertically arranged.

Increased RAM and 2x Storage Space: Infinix mobility equipped the new Note 5 Stylus with 4 GB of RAM, this means the new phone offers additional 1GB of RAM more than 3GB memory of the Note 5. Furthermore, the internal storage size of the new Note 5 Stylus is twice of that of Note 5, in other words, while the previous Note has 32GB internal storage capacity, the new Note comes with internal storage capacity of 64GB. In addition to that, both phones' internal storages can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Reduced battery capacity: Compare with that of Note 5, the battery capacity of the new Note 5 stylus is rather unsatisfactory, this is because while the previous Note 5 has 4500mAh battery, the new Note 5 Plus comes with lower battery cells of 4000mAh, for such a phone with a big, 6.0-inch (FHD+) display and high specs; at least if the new phone can not offer more battery cells, it's supposed to come with one that's of the same size with that of Note 5.

Below are the main Note 5 specs that remain the same in the new Note 5 stylus.

The Same 6.0-inch Full HD+ display: The new Note 5 Stylus is fitted with the same bigger 6.0-inch IPS-LCD display that came with the Note 5, also the screen resolution is still 1620 by 1080 (Full HD+) pixels with an aspect ratio of 18:9.

The Same 16MP Front Facing Camera: Apart from the better battery capacity, another major strength of the previous Note 5 lies in its front facing camera, because the phone came with a better 16MP Low-light Selfie camera. Therefore, in order for the Note 5 Stylus users to also enjoy sharper and brighter Selfie pictures on their phone, Infinix Mobility fitted the new phone with the same 16MP Low-light Selfie camera.

The Same O.S. and Processor: Like in the Note 5, Note 5 Stylus also feature the same MediaTek Chipset, Octa-Core processor with the same speed of 2.0GHz, in addition, the phone also runs on Android One O.S. Meanwhile, for a high-end smartphone like Infinix Note 5 Stylus that is equipped with up-to-date specs, instead of Android One Oreo, i was expecting the phone to feature standard Android Oreo (8.1) which can be found on many other phones (in the market) that are in the Note 5 Plus' category. It should be recalled that the last year's Note 4 Pro featured standard Android Nougat (7.0).
